Chico Citizens have an opportunity to ‘make their mark’ to help Bidwell Park. Volunteers are invited to participate in making the Erosion Line, a community-built environmental art project being created on trails in Upper Bidwell Park.
Volunteers will learn how to use traditional sculpting tools to make the Erosion Line under the direction of Bidwell Park Artist-in-Residence Eve Werner.
“Features of the Erosion Line will help people learn about trail erosion. It will also provide a reference point from which to measure the progression of future erosion,” says Werner. “We hope that people will have fun making art in a new way while creating a ripple effect of stewardship for our trails.”
