If you are interested in being a Park Commissioner now is the time to apply. Applications for any of the City’s commissions have to be in by November 30, 2024. Standard appointments are four-year terms beginning January 2025 and expiring January 2029.
To be eligible for appointment, you must be a resident of the City of Chico and a qualified voter (18 years or older). You don’t have to be from a City Council District of a newly elected or re-elected councilor to serve. Talk to your local district’s councilor and express your interest in serving on a commission it will help during the selection process if they know who you are and what you are interested in doing.
If interested in applying, you may download the forms provided on the web page or pick up an application packet from the City Clerk’s office located at 411 Main Street on the 3rd Floor. Once the required documents are completed, you may (1) drop them off at the City Clerk office; (2) mail them to City Clerk, PO Box 3420, Chico 95927; or (3) email them to City Clerk’s Office.
