The City Council will be holding a Public Hearing prior to adopting the City of Chico Vegetative Fuels Management Plan (VFMP) and the Programmatic Environmental Impact Report (PEIR). This will be your last chance to comment on the VFMP and PEIR. FOBP has submitted close to 40 pages of comments to the City on this Plan since it was made public in the Fall of 2020.

The Public Hearing will be held remotely online at 6:00 p.m. and the details on how to participate in this remote public meeting can be found on the City’s website at

The Final PEIR document includes the responses to the comments that were received during the 45-day review of the Draft PEIR and proposed changes to both the PEIR and VFMP based on these comments. Due to their length, the Final PEIR and a Draft Final Vegetative Fuels Management Plan are available on the City’s website at:

The documents are also available for review at the Park Division office at 965 Fir Street, Chico CA.  Park Division offices are closed to the public due to COVID restrictions so please call ahead at 896-7800 for an appointment.
