SUMMARY:Volunteer Oak Tree Maintenance in Bidwell Park
DESCRIPTION:“The Butte Environmental Council needs volunteers to come out and help us keep the oaks growing tall!  Come visit Upper Bidwell Park Parking Lot E at 9am on Saturday\, July 9th.  Many of the oak seedlings have grown to the top of their tubes and need an upgrade to a protective cage.  This will help ensure they reach adulthood and in turn make more trees.  We will be installing cages around the tallest oak seedlings. We will also be pulling weeds and adding mulch.  If you would like weekly updates and reminders about the Oak Restoration Project events\, you can sign up for the tree people list. \n If you have any other questions\, you can contact the Oak Restoration Project Coordinator\, Lexi Thornton @ oaks@becnet.org .  \n
