After years of volunteer labor and City of Chico work, Comanche Creek Greenway will finally be open to the public with an opening ceremony and docent-led tours of the Greenway starting at 10 am. Check out the new bike bridge, walking and biking trails, historic spots of interest and the riparian corridor along the creek. For the opening ceremony, meet at the southeast Greenway entrance near 444 Otterson Dr (off Hegan Ln). Parking available at the adjacent Butte County Mosquito and Vector Control District property. For bicyclists, the bike bridge will be closed on both sides until after the ribbon-cutting.
